Dad Rock Night Kansas City Concert reviews
It brought me to tears and that says a lot
I've been a fan of the musical Dad Rock Night for 15 years, but I've never seen it live. The music alone was moving, having listened to it hundreds of times. The actor portraying Jean Valjean was incredible, with his intense solo of "Bring Him Home". The singing, the acting, the emotion... all top notch. Once I finally saw it on stage, I was brought to tears several times. I was skeptical of the performance, but "Bring Him Home" was not mediocre at best as I expected. The 10th anniversary concert at Royal Albert Hall on PBS, I've watched a dozen times. I highly recommend this version to anyone who's a fan of Dad Rock Night. It was extremely well done, deeply moving, even though I don't have any comparison to any other live version.
